can find their way by moonlight and their only punishment
is that they see the dawn before the rest of the world."
Oscar Wilde
TIMING
OF YOUR FULL-MOON WEDDING
You may schedule your event for any six hours between 3pm and 2am. First,
choose your full
moon date, then find out when the moon
rises and sets on that date. That is when you would have your actual
ceremony. Work back from that time to schedule hor d'oeuvres, dinner,
etc.

PLANNING FOR YOUR FULL-MOON CEREMONY:
Full-Moon Ceremonies are romantic. But they do pose logistical issues
that you should be aware of before scheduling a nightime ceremony. Do
not be surprised. It is dark outside at the full-moon ceremonies!
1.
LIGHTING: The ceremony areas are lit with low voltage
landscape lighting. However, before planning a night-time wedding come
out on the weekend to evaluate the lighting on the grounds. You may
decide to supplement the low-votage outdoor lighting. . Some ideas are:
Luminaries on each side of the wedding aisle, candles in votive holders
on stakes or hanging from trees. Most florists will include this in
their decorating package. No tapered candles are allowed because
of fire-hazard.
3. SOUND: Wellers does not offer a sound system rental
for ceremonies. We rent a podium microphone, but again, you may want
something more professional i.e. lapel mics for bride and groom and/or
music for your ceremony. . Click on this link,
Recommended Services for DJ's that supply ceremony sound. Some do
not charge if you have also hired them for your reception.
3. READING LIGHT: Make sure you find out if your
minister/officiates or any participants require light for reading. If
so, you will have to supply this. Small battery-operated clip-on book
lights are inexpensive are suggested.
4.
SAFTEY: If you have elderly guests, your ushers will
need to escort them to and from the wedding pergolas before and after
the ceremony. All families know who these guests are; so you should
prepare a list for your ushers.
